Steven R. Spochart, Executive Director

Steve joined the Authority in February 2007 and serves as the executive director. Steve’s background consists of over 15 years financial and accounting experience with nonprofits, especially those receiving federal and state funding. Steve is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Authority, as well as being a liaison between the Authority, the county and the 50 municipalities in Somerset County for various infrastructure and/or redevelopment projects.

Patricia A. Adamczyk, Executive Assistant/Compliance Officer

Patty, the executive assistant, is responsible for various functions of the Authority. She handles communication between the Authority and engineers, contractors, homeowners and municipalities, as well as provides program support for the public works and rehab departments. Patty has worked for the Authority since May 1989.

Gary L. Chalk, Public Improvements Director

Gary is the Authority’s Public Improvements Director. He is responsible for oversight and management of the Authority’s public improvement projects (i.e. water, storm, sewer, sidewalks, streetscapes, etc.) Gary is also responsible for evaluating, researching and planning future projects that the Authority may undertake. Gary started with the Authority in July 1979.

Walter Walerysiak, Jr., Public Improvements Coordinator

Wally started with the Authority in January 1986. Wally is responsible for on-site inspection and review of the Authority’s public improvement projects. Wally reviews the engineer’s drawings, performs inspections services and acts as a liaison between the Authority and the engineers and contractors.

JoRene Ringler, Housing Rehabilitation Specialist

JoRene is the Authority’s Housing Rehab Specialist. She provides a pre-rehab inspection for homeowners and writes-up the specifications for work to bring the home up to code. JoRene works with the various contractors and oversees the rehab work. She is also responsible for a final inspection to ensure all the work was completed as originally outlined. JoRene has been with the Authority since March 1980.
