How to Make a Right-to-Know Request

  1. All requests must be in writing.
  2. Requests may be mailed, faxed or presented in person to the Authority’s office.  Regular office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday except for holidays.

Appeals

            All appeals need to be sent to the Office of Open Records office.

Fees

            The following fees will be charged for right-to-know requests:

    • $0.25 per page for black and white, 8 ½ x 11 copies (single-sided copy or one side of a double-sided copy)
    • $2.00 per record certification (not including notarization fees)
    • Actual costs for postage, facsimile or other media and for copies of specialized records (i.e. color copies, non-standard sized documents, drawings, etc.)

    Should the estimated fee to fulfill a right-to-know request exceed $100, the requestor will be required to prepay the fees prior to processing the request.

    Fees must be made payable to the "Redevelopment Authority of Somerset County" by certified check, bank check or money order.
